Worried your plans might change after you book? Airstar wants you to book with confidence by reducing the cost of making changes to your advance booking.

With fares as low as Airstar’s, we want to make sure making a change is affordable. If you want to book with confidence and pay no changes fees (or would like the ability to get a full refund) buy our discount bundle the WORKS at initial booking. With the WORKS, your entire purchase is refundable (including the cost of the WORKS), you get the best seat on the plane, one free checked bag and one free carry-on bag.

A few things to know:

  • Changes to your itinerary are subject to any difference in fare and options prices.
  • If your new itinerary is lower in value than your original itinerary, there will be no residual value available to you once you have made the change.
  • If you cancel your itinerary, you will retain the value of your itinerary less the applicable cancel fee as a travel credit.

Change/Cancel Fees for Bookings Made Through 3/31/21

To provide you with additional flexibility, we are waiving change and cancel fees for bookings made through March 31, 2021.

  • All changes or cancellations must be made prior to the required check-in time for your flight (45 minutes prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights; 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure for international flights).
    • Failure to check in or appear for boarding for any flight will result in the automatic cancellation of that and all subsequent flights on the itinerary and the imposition of a No-Show Cancellation Service Charge.
    • Please see the Contract of Carriage for further details.
  • Change: change fee waived
    • Changes to your itinerary are subject to any difference in fare and options prices.
  • Cancel: cancel fee waived
    • You will retain the value of your itinerary.

All tickets are nonrefundable unless otherwise specified in the Contract of Carriage.

Change and cancel fees incurred prior to December 22, 2020 for travel within the noted period are nonrefundable; this waiver cannot be applied retroactively. Only changes made from December 22, 2020 onwards for travel within the noted period are eligible for this fee waiver.

No Change Fees on Bookings Made 8/31 - 9/30

To provide you with additional flexibility, bookings made between August 31, 2020 and September 30, 2020 will be permitted a one-time change to travel plans without a change fee, when the change is made 7 or more days prior to departure. Changes under this special waiver are subject to the terms and conditions below; additional restrictions may apply. 

  • Customers can complete a one-time change without a change fee 7 or more days prior to departure as below: 
    • Change to new itinerary of equal or lesser value: change fee waived, no residual value retained by customer 
    • Change to new itinerary at higher price: change fee waived, customer pays fare difference, if any 
    • Cancel itinerary: standard cancel fees and policies apply 
    • To change your reservation, visit My Trip.  The change fee will automatically be waived 

All tickets are nonrefundable unless otherwise specified in the Contract of Carriage

No Change/Cancel Fees on Bookings Made 7/2-31

To provide you with additional flexibility, bookings made between July 2, 2020 and July 31, 2020 will be permitted a one-time change to travel plans without a fee, when the change is made 7 or more days prior to departure. Changes under this special waiver are subject to the terms and conditions below; additional restrictions may apply.

  • Customers can complete a one-time change 7 or more days prior to departure free of charge as below:
    • Change to new itinerary of equal or lesser value: change fee waived, no residual value retained by customer
    • Change to new itinerary at higher price: change fee waived, customer pays fare difference, if any.
    • Cancel itinerary: cancel fee waived, customer retains the value of the ticket to be applied toward the purchase of a future ticket to be booked for travel available through the selling schedule.
    • To change your reservation, visit the My Trip  The change fee will automatically be waived.
    • To cancel your reservation and retain the value of your ticket to be applied towards the purchase of a future ticket, please visit My Trip to manage your booking.
  • For changed itineraries, travel must be completed by September 12, 2021

  • Customers can complete a one-time change free of charge as below:
    • Change to new flight of equal or lesser value: change fee waived, no residual value retained by customer
    • Change to new flight at higher price: change fee waived, customer pays fare difference, if any.
    • Cancel flight: cancel fee waived, customer retains the value of the ticket to be applied toward the purchase of a future ticket to be booked for travel available through the selling schedule.
    • To change your reservation, visit the My Trip page. The change fee will automatically be waived.
    • To cancel your reservation and retain the value of your ticket to be applied towards the purchase of a future ticket, please visit My Trip to manage your booking.
